Tankenstein is a Tier VII German heavy tank. It is the first and original "Mad Tank", and appears to be a fusion of the KV-4 and the Tiger (P). Tankenstein is based off of Frankenstein's monster, a popular science fiction character.

You can't hurt a crew that isn't there. Though you can still increase its mastery and skills. Bonuses from skills work like with other tanks.

Strategy[]

As Tankenstein[]

The Tankenstein has the traditional heavy tank attributes; strong frontal armor, a powerful gun, and slow top/traverse speed. Due to the tank having 6° or 8° of gun depression (for the 130 mm and 105 mm guns, respectively) you can use some ridges for cover. Make sure not to sit still too long, because most tanks can penetrate your turret's hatch if they’re aiming.

Against Tankenstein[]

One of the best strategies for beating the Tankenstein while you’re using a light or medium tank is the Circle Of Death; fast heavies can also effectively use this strategy. If you're facing a Tankenstein head on you can aim for its bottom plate or turret hatch.

Pros[]

  • Amazing frontal armor
  • Excellent gun
  • Phantom crew

Phanton crews

Cons[]

  • Low top speed
  • Below average turret and hull traverse speed, leaving it vulnerable to getting flanked by light tanks

Trivia[]

  • Inspired by Frankenstein's monster, Tankenstein is built from parts of various tanks: the KV-4's turret is placed on a Tiger (P) hull, and has the options of the T29's 105mm Gun T5A1 or the SU-100Y's 130mm B-13-S2 Gun.
  • Tankenstein was ported over from WoTB's parent game World of Tanks. It was a mission reward in the WoT Halloween 2015 event. As such it is one of the few fictional tanks that exist in both WoT and WoTB.
